drinking about jewellery
The Jewellers Guild of Greater Sandringham has been dedicated to pairing quality contemporary jewellery discussions with finely crafted beer for nearly a decade. We would like to invite you to join us. Beer and chips have always been an integral part of the Guild’s creative process in producing the Overview newsletter. Guild members were trained in an exceptionally supportive community of jewellers and have been consciously investing back into their local community. Local actions have begun spilling over geographic borders. Our vision is simply to unveil the working of the Guild, chips, beer and all, and to open up what we already do to a wider group. drinking about jewellery events are casual, unmediated affairs. They are about “bringing together a motley assortment of people trying to push ideas from neutral grounds into the unknown” just done in kiwi style. You can trust it will be low key and welcoming.

About the Artist
The Jewellers Guild of Greater Sandringham have been producing Overview every few months or so since March 2011. What started out as an email newsletter to all the jewellers we knew in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia, is now being sent to over 300 jewellers, galleries and institutions worldwide via email and through our Facebook Group page. We talk about contemporary jewellery; what we see, what we do, and how we live with jewelleryness.
